If you are a 90’s baby born and raised in Brum, you may remember its infamous Billy Bubbles, the beloved ball pit playground for kids.
Now Digbeth is revelling in nostalgia as it welcomes BallPark, the city’s first adult, ball pit cocktail bar.
Complete with retro arcade games, live DJs and beer pong tables, the space is about to make a scene in Digbeth’s nightlife offering.
The venue, located on Floodgate Street totes photo booths, jaw-dropping graffiti, a pool and ping pong tables. In the heated outside area, there’s a roaring fire where live music acts will perform in the future.
“We already have a Ball Park venue in Liverpool, and decided Digbeth would be the perfect location for our second.” Says James Daly, director of the company.
If that wasn’t enough motivation to drop by, their drinks menu certainly should be. After tasting their cocktail selection (all of which are just £7!) we can confirm that the taste lives up to the hype.
Of course, their main attraction is still the Instagrammable ball pool filled with half a million plastic balls for revellers to play in, however the ball pit itself takes up a relatively small portion of the space.
In the future, the venue expects to have live acoustic acts and events such as volleyball and other competitions available for partygoers to contend in.
Ball Park is open 12pm til 2am, seven days a week.
