BABMAG is set to hit the Foundation FM airwaves this Friday 4th Feb!

Expect a line up that showcases the mighty, musical and poetic prowess of the West Midlands.

For our readers who are unfamiliar, Foundation FM is a female led radio station holding it down for the underground scene in London. The platform, founded by Becky Richardson, Ami Bennet and Frankie Wells, has created a space which celebrates the talent of many collectives and creatives spanning, all genres, genders and backgrounds.

So when they invited us to do a Friday takeover, there was no hesitation to take this opportunity to do what we know how, shout about what’s going on on our turf!

New comers in Coventry, Sisters In Dub, who have already shared the stage with legends such as Beenie Man and Bass Odyssey, will be contributing a mix of meditative dub, deep roots reggae and energetic steppas.

Anyone who’s been around the open mic scene in Birmingham knows about the cypher skills and undeniable artistry from Tarju Le Sano, tune in to hear his latest single live. You’ve seen Tarju’s evolution, now catch him sharing music from Wolverhampton legends and the next generation of artists to break out the city.

Sly Diggers

Expect Sharnie to deliver the sickest selection of garage, 2-step, UK funky, house, straight out the WM. You can also look forward to mixes from KojaySly Diggers, as well as an acoustic performance from Cariss Auburn.

To top it all off, the day will be hosted by BABMAG‘s own Rory Oakley and Holly 1–10 who will be with you, live in the studio, from 2pm to 7pm.

Whether you’re at home in need of study playlist, or looking for something to lighten up the mood in the office, we got you.
