BabMag x DarkCircle
With back-to-back solid collection releases, Birmingham based DarkCircle are a leading influencer on the street wear scene. Their crafted garments incorporate bold graphics alongside cut n sew designs and have been seen on the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$ and Chance The Rapper. Kings of the collab, these guys like to put themselves out there and have worked alongside fellow Midlands based entrepreneurs and hustlers like Folsom Barbers Club and Hip Hop selectas Moschino Hoe Versace Hottie.
For our collab we went with a BabMag logo and the BAB tee, both simple and clean designs with flock print, following in DarkCircle’s aesthetic. We chose Birmingham’s humble/historic markets for our shoot; there’s been a lot of talk about redevelopment of this side of town, with the market set to up sticks out of the city centre and be replaced with an area dubbed Smithfield alongside a redesign of the Bull Ring’s indoor/outdoor and Rag markets dating back to 1166.
On the lens was the talented Gift Gwambe, who we have been watching for some time working with the likes of DarkCircle and sneaks&peaks. He has had featured shoots on leading street wear blog The Daily Street. Model Sarah Petty
